Setting up Iron Logic Controller using Android

1. Select settings on your device, turn Mobile Data off.

Take note of SSID and Security protocol for your router, (screen shot it or write it down). This information is available by clicking on the online router in the settings menu. Double click the router and record them, you may also wish to take note of the IP address. smartphone

2. Remove power.

Place the controller in config mode by placing the bridge on CFG

as show below:

3. Re-apply power to controller.

Go to setting on mobile and search for the device, (this may take a couple of minutes). The device will appear in Available networks as either Matrix_II_WiFi or Z5RWEB with it’s serial number.

4. Select the Ironlogic controller and wait while the device and phone couple.

5. Enter the default “config” IP address of the device into the browser of your phone:

ILZ5RWEB 1.1.1.1 ILMATRIX II WiFi 192.168.10.1

6. The phone will display the controllers security “Sign in” screen:

Enter the controller type in lower case:

ILZ5RWEB = z5rweb

ILMATRIXII = matrix

Follow by the AUTH key (Password) in UPPER CASE, the auth key is on your controller (on the back of a Z5RWEB or on the incase of the MATRIXII controller.

Z5RWEB SETUP:

STATUS: Once in Configuration mode you will able to access the controllers settings including:

Status: This shows the current language, mode settings, firmware version etc.

Connection Setup: contains WiFi Connection settings and network settings.

Work Mode: selects how and where your controller will connect to software or the cloud.

Controller setup: controls the basic output controls and timers for your controller.

Entended Settings: Contains advanced functions like firmware updates and factory reset.

NB: please consult your Iron logic agent before using these modes apart from factory reset.

CONNECTION SETUP: Your Iron Logic converter/controller can be connnected to a LAN, a WiFi router or the 4G network via a 4G router or dongle in the case of a Z5RWEB or a Wifi router (only) in the case of a MATRIX II.

The example shown is for Wifi connection. Select Wi-Fi and enter you:

SSID: in this case Swampthing

Encryption: WPA2 PSK in this example

Key: The router password

NB: Search Network will not work when connect via your Android device.

Enter: the fixed IP address, the Network Mask, Gateway and DNS Server.

Then press Save.

Work Mode: determines how your controller connects to it operating system in this example the Ironlogic cloud.

Work Mode: must be set to WEB mode.

For Australia Timezone should be set to UTC+10 for Eastern states.

Server address: should be set to login1.ironlogic.com.au

Path: Should be set to /webmode

Other settings should left as default.

Once you have finished press Save to continue.

Controller Setup:

Lock Type: Your Z5RWEB controller puts out voltage directly to your locking device, constant power for a magnetic lock or fail safe electric strike until the device is triggered (NORMALLY CLOSED) or voltage when the device is triggered for electric strike or relay (NORMALLY OPEN).

Reader protocol: Select either iButton dallas chip or Weigand for prox cards or keypads.

Internal Sound: Triggers the onboard piezo on the controller when you controller is activated by a valid read.

Duration of opening pulse: determines the length of the output trigger in tenths of seconds i.e. 30 = 3 sec.

Open door: fires the output for testing your door or device.

Press Save to continue.

MATRIX II SETUP

STATUS: Once in Configuration mode you will able to access the controllers settings including:

Key: The router password

Enter: the fixed IP of your connection address, the Network Mask, Gateway and DNS Server.

Then press Save.
