Matrix-IV
General Info
Reader MATRIX-IV (mod.EH Keys) - hereinafter MATRIX-IV EH Keys - is used in access control systems (ACS). The reader sends the code to the controller presented identifier (card, key fob, etc.) of the E-Marine or HID standard (Prox Card II) or a code entered from the keyboard using iButton protocols (Dallas Touch Memory) or Wiegand-26. The reader provides the ability to pass through both identifier or without identifier by typing the code on the keyboard.
Mounting and Connecting
The reader is mounted on a flat surface out of direct sunlight and precipitation in a place that provides an unobstructed view of the proximity card. To install the reader, you must perform the following operations: - mark and drill holes for fastening to the size of the reader's holes (fig. 1); - connect the wires in accordance with table 1; - insulate the wires at the joints; - supply power and check the reader's functionality by swiping the card or by pressing a button on the keyboard; - put the reader in place and fix it. * Do not install readers at a distance closer than 10 cm! ** To ensure remote installation of the reader (specified in the specifications) It is necessary to use a UTP twisted pair cable (for example, the corresponding CAT5e):
when connecting via iButton, one twisted pair wire is connected to GND, the second on DATA0;
when connected via Weigand-26, the first twisted pair is connected between GND and DATA0, and the second twisted pair is connected between GND and DATA1
Reader Operation
Working with a proximity card (key fob) When the identifier is entered into the reader's action field, the code is read identifier. The successful completion of this operation is confirmed by a short-term flashing green LED and buzzer signal (yellow LED is on while the card is located in the reader field). The received code is converted into an iButton signal (Dallas Touch Memory) or Wiegand-26, which comes out. Working with the reader keyboard Valid characters for dialing a code from the keyboard are numbers from 0 to 9. Codes keys pressed are first entered into the reader buffer and transmitted to the controller only after pressing the ENT key. Each keystroke is accompanied by a short beep. a buzzer signal and the yellow LED lights up. The allowed code length depends on the output interface: - Wiegand-26 - from 1 to 6 digits; - iButton (Dallas Touch Memory) - from 1 to 12 digits. Each keystroke is accompanied by a short beep and flash of yellow LED. 2 seconds after entering one or more digits, the yellow LED will flash, signaling the KEYPAD CODE INPUT state (the input buffer is not empty). If in no keys are pressed within 20 seconds, the input buffer will be erased automatically and the yellow LED will stop flickering. If any number is entered by mistake, the buffer can be deleted forcibly from ESC and re-enter all digits. Internal indication The reader is equipped with red, yellow and green LEDs for light indication and built-in buzzer for sound indication. The reader is also equipped internal keyboard illumination. Red LED is on - power is supplied to the reader, standby mode. Yellow LED is on - card in the field. Yellow LED flashing - keyboard input buffer activated. Green LED flashes briefly - confirmation of code reading card or pressing ENT key
